About Gentle Giant Restoration and Conservation

Announced in August, 2004, and managed by Master Conservator Tara Deegan Parmenter, Gentle Giant Restoration and Conservation is comprised of skilled craftsmen who have the breadth and depth of experience to handle any media. As a team, they:

Additional services span a variety of onsite work including paint effects, interior and exterior gilding, metal work, and furniture and property repairs.

Gentle Giant Moving Company President Larry O'Toole recalls the inception of Gentle Giant Restoration & Conservation:

"During moves, customers would often ask our crews if they knew of a furniture and art restoration service of quality comparable to Gentle Giant. Having known Tara personally for many years, and knowing the superior craftsmanship she provided, I felt confident referring our customers to her. On many occasions, customers would later note that their fine art, antiques, and family heirlooms were restored to better-than-original condition. Over time, forming a direct partnership with Tara and her team was a natural fit, and one which we're proud to offer our customers".

The Gentle Giant Restoration Team has always insisted on using the traditional methods and products available at time of manufacturing to restore objects to their original condition. Tara and her team are, in her words, "the people who let pieces live on".
